Ummja Varava

We went to Latvia to brew a special beer, and the result was a Baltic Porter with a herbal twist. In collaboration with our good Latvian friends at Labietis, we spent time in a forest outside Riga, in the cold and rain, collecting nearly 500kg of lichens to use in this unique interpretation of a classic regional style. We complemented it with a touch of sea salt and some smoked malt. We also had a very special guest appearance from Kristians Brekte, a renowned Latvian artist, who designed a label that is a true work of art! 0.44L can with 7% ABV.
